An all-action, touring caravan site set on Ayrshire’s coast, with stunning views and direct access to the beach.
The concrete touring area is flat with 44 hard-standing base pitches and a heated shower block. This park boasts an amazing indoor multi-level pool complex, complete with flumes and slides and an indoor sports complex with climbing wall and soft play area.
This is our fourth time here on the touring site and we like it as a base for visiting the surrounding area. Ideal as bus service into Edinburgh right at the entrance and every 15 minutes for a couple of quid.
Site is clean and tidy and well presented and although we didn’t use the pool or evening entertainment the boaty blessed restaurant and bar was excellent for us. Food was enjoyable and service from the staff in there was great, all very pleasant. Prices in the bar and restaurant are what you expect in these parks, not the cheapest but by no means dearest and as before the food was good and plenty of it.
Can’t comment on statics or entertainment as didn’t use it.
Only niggle and it’s minor was when we arrived on the Sunday there was no one on the gate and wardens were off duty and a fellow caravaner said to just pick a pitch and warden would see us tomorrow. I’ve done this before on a site and ended up being moved the next day which is annoying . This didn’t happen but just to help perhaps a notice board of some sort on the approach informing folk what to do in this event. I went to reception after setting up to get our fun passes etc.
